Uzodinma Assures Igbos Leaving In The North Of Their Safety

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has called the Igbo residing in the Northern part of Nigeria to remain in the region.

Uzodinma stated this while reacting to the statement by the Coalition of Northern Groups charging all Fulani in the South to move back to North.

Senator Uzodinma assured Igbo in the North of their safety and urged them to go about their daily activities in the North.

The APC chieftain in a statement by the Director of Media and Special Duties of his campaign organization, Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba, urged Igbos in the North to remain at their duty posts and not panic or rush back home.

In the statement, he assured the people of South-East in the North of the readiness of the federal government to protect them.

He cautioned leaders against worsening the security challenges in the country by making inflammatory statements.

Uzodinma urged politicians not to politicise security matters to avoid impacting national unity.

He urged Igbo to rely on President Muhammadu Buharis assurances that the security of lives and property of Nigerians are guaranteed and those who breach the peace would be brought to book.

Igbos safety is guaranteed and they should go about their normal businesses and resist the fear of rushing back home.
