According to Nwosu, the Presidential and National Assembly polls in Abia witnessed an uncontrolled and deliberate manipulation of election results in favour of the incumbent party in government.

Nwosu said the governorship and state assembly polls were a cocktail of malpractices in spite of the fact that polls began early unlike in the previous presidential election of February 23.

He said that 2019 elections were characterized by ballot box snatching, thugs harassing voters, manipulation of election results figures at ward and local government collation centres, adding that election officials at ward and local government headquaters compromised their positions by entering figures that never emanated from unit results form (EC 8A) on ward and local government results EC 8B and EC 8C, respectively.

At local government and state constituency collation centres, collation officers entered arbitrary figures. In fact, they allocated figures to parties of their interest, Nwosu alleged.
