Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has agreed to a new mouthwatering deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2024.
Rashford, 21, previously had a dealwas due to expire in 2020 but the England striker has now seen his weekly wage rise to250,000 ($317,000) with the new deal.
An excited Rashford said in a statement after putting pen to paper on the new deal that Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven. This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person, so it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt.”
Not many Manchester United supporters have applauded the deal, with some particularly citing the striker’s new weekly wage as astronomical because of his inconsistent performances.
The Red Devils have struggled to attract top talents around the world since ending the league season in 6th position. The club has however successfully added former Crystal Palace right backAaron Wan-Bissaka to its roster, following a50 million move.
